Waiting for Kraakov Field Troops to approach Tvall Vale, we will heat you up a bit with some preview and a small contest.

Below are a few illustrations of Kraakov Hetmen skills (yes - Kraakov warband leader is named Hetman). Try to guess what kind of skill each picture depicts. The one whose answers will be the most funny and/or the closest to truth will be rewarded with a model of Kraakov Hussar. The contest is also a chance of earning some XP! :D
Post your answers on our forum!

Longinus Strike:
Im a lil bit confused! Longinus was the roman soldier that puts his spear into the breast of Jesus - but this guy is wielding a big sword. I guess this skill is a mass attack...maybe with some "holy" effect?

Hornblower:
I think this skill takes influence to the warbands-members moral. Maybe this skill make that a flight taking unit gets courage again.

Secret Service:
You get information about the enemys position and so you are able to replace your own units.

Shatter:
The enemys weapons with a special effect (like great hammer or mighty clubba) turn into a improvised weapon.

Bloodsport:
Some kind of overkill - The Bloodsport using warbandleader kills enemys with one hit (he just needs to injure the enemy and this loses all lifepoints).

Tavern Brawler:
The guy on the picture has no weapon. So i think his improvised attack become stronger. He fights against two enemys so i guess he gets one additional attack that counts as a improvised.

To be honest, that's rather fair to let foreigners see some refenerces. Every polish will know who was Longinus Podbipięta, so it would be easier for us to guess it.

Either that or some "go right through" impaling/cleaving effect.

So are we going for funny or serious here?

Longinus: I'm thinking some kind of attack that represents the impaling nature of the spear, and the longevity of it's ability to survive. So the attack going through (like the 2 handed weapon swing) seems about right to me.

Hornblower: "Well I don't like to blow my own trumpet ... actualy I do. A lot..." Similar to the Voice of Command (Dwarfs) or Roar (for Lidds). The ones that extend the hero's control area to 10". If nott hat, then similar to the dwarven "make Morale tests easier" ability, or a new one to rally fleeing troops.

Something really nasty would be an ability to let a model that's already activated activate again a second time in the turn. That would be quite powerful 'though and probably shouldn't be in the game.

Secret Service: Dun, duhduhdun dun, dun dun .. (James Bond music)

D10, d10, d10,
d10, d10, d10
d10, d10, d10
d10, d10, d10
Rolling, rolling.

Hetman's Secret Spies! Licence to roll!

But yes, I agree, probbaly something to do with adjusting deployment before the game begins, or scenery. Shoot through a wood, charge through a wood. Dirty fighting.

Yep, disable an enemy's weapon for a turn. SImilar to the disarm abilities a few other people already get.

Bloodsport: Well traditionaly Blood Sports are Hunting and (maybe) Boxing. This one looks more like unarmed combat but I think it may be similar to the chain attacks Lidd Maka Ei and heroes can pull off (so if he did something, then he'd qualify for an unarmed attack or opposed Power check to cause an extra wound).

Tavern Brawler: This seems to be continuing the unarmed combat theme. Maybe a brawling ability or possibly something to do with ignoring Outnumbered tests and just going for it regardless of how many people surround him (since he seems to be laying out multiple oponents there).

Longinus Strike: Raaa! Feel my power!

Hornblower: He's a bit full of himself isn't he?

Secret Service: You didn't see us, right? *

Shatter: Aw, diddums break your toy?

Bloodsport: Booyakashak!
Riiiip! That's gotta leave a mark.

tavern Brawler: Pished? I'm not pished! Lemme at 'em!

You want some do you? Yeah? yeah? Well come on then? An' you an' all!

Did you spill my pint?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* A Fast SHow reference. To the character who'd only ever appear breifly, walk up to the camera and say "you didn't see me, right?"

going on the pictures alone

Longinus Strike - a swipe/swing attack where the damage is piecing or some +1 penetration

Hornblower - Boromir calling / rallying troops [number of M test dice reduced] rather than tales of the 19th Century below decks

Secret Service - redeploy a unit after everyone has set up

Shatter - breaks weapon so it is unavailable until next round or entire combat

Bloodsport - gaining the trophy makes you fearsome to your enemies so they take fear tests

Tavern Brawler - float like a barfly sting like a wet sponge, you are immune to pain for a round so you ignore wounds, creatures causing fear etc as you are pied eyed on Dutch courage.
